Critter - Mittens
The POW Critter Mitt is a kids mitten made to keep young riders on the hill all day. It is built with a HIPORA membrane, a microfleece lining and fibre fill insulation, and this version comes in Lilas.
A mitten holds heat better than a glove because the fingers share one chamber, and that is exactly why the Critter takes mitten form. The shell is a recycled polyester PU laminate with a DWR finish, so snow beads off instead of soaking into the fabric. Inside sits HIPORA, the POW waterproof insert, built as a three layer micro porous structure. It blocks water from coming in while letting moisture from the hand escape. The palm is waterproof PU and stands up to being used to push off in the snow. Insulation is fibre fill in 4 oz and 3 oz weights, and the lining is microfleece, which feels soft against small hands. The wrist closes with a hook and loop strap that is easy to tighten with the other mitt still on.
- HIPORA insert: waterproof and still breathable
- Recycled PU laminate with DWR: snow beads off
- Fibre fill in 4 oz and 3 oz: warmth without stiffness
- Microfleece lining: soft against small hands
- Waterproof PU palm: handles rough treatment
- Hook and loop closure: easy to tighten alone
- Mitten over glove: fingers warm each other
The Critter Mitt is for the youngest snowboarders and skiers, the ones whose day usually ends when their hands get cold. A membrane, fibre fill and a simple closure let them gear up on their own and stay out longer.
