Madden Irish Woven Blanket | Síol Anmchadha Family Crest
Woven from 100% premium cotton yarn, this heirloom for the Madden home forms the Irish National Tartan and the Madden family crest in the cloth rather than printing them on it, so the woven depth shows on both sides. Traditional fringe finishes the edges.
- Material: 100% premium cotton yarn
- Construction: woven, not printed; the design is part of the fabric
- Sizes: 52″ × 37″, 60″ × 50″, 80″ × 60″

It has a soft, substantial feel, and it looks right draped across a sofa, laid over a reading chair or displayed in a study.
The O'Maddens, a branch of the Uí Maine of east Connacht, held the chieftaincy of Síol Anmchadha from the eleventh century until the middle of the seventeenth, on lands that made up the barony of Longford in southeast County Galway and the parish of Lusmagh across the Shannon in Offaly. Richard Robert Madden (1798–1886), a Dublin-born surgeon, wrote the history The United Irishmen, their Lives and Times.
Give it at a Madden wedding or anniversary, or when a Madden family moves into a home of its own, and it will stay in the family for years.
