Provoqe V - Goggles
Uvex built the Provoqe V around a photochromic lens, so skiers and snowboarders can stop swapping optics halfway through the day. The variomatic lens tints itself up and down with the light.
This one is matt white with a green vario mirror lens. The S1-3 marking in the product name describes the working range: the lens moves between filter category 1 and 3, with light transmission running from 52 percent on grey mornings down to 10 percent in hard sun. The shift takes seconds, so a run from tree line into open terrain needs no stop. The lens is cylindrical and double-walled, which both insulates against fogging and opens up the field of view. The uvex supravision anti-fog coating keeps the inner surface clear for twice as long as the standard requires. A rimless frame widens peripheral vision further, and triple-layer velour foam settles softly around the face. The 50 mm strap with silicone grippers holds the goggle in place through hard landings, and the OTG design leaves room for prescription glasses. Weight is 149 grams, certified to EN 174:2001 and EN ISO 18527-1:2022.
