QST 25 - Backpack

The Salomon QST 25 in Black is a ski pack for off piste and touring days that keeps your safety kit in one place. It holds 25 litres and runs a thermo moulded back pad with a wide hip belt.

The back pad is thermo moulded, so it holds its shape and lies flat against your spine instead of rolling around. Together with the wide hip belt it keeps the pack still when you drop into broken snow. The main zip is generously proportioned and easy to grab with gloves on, and a top handle makes it quick to lift the pack out of the snow. Inside, separate compartments give your probe, shovel and other safety gear a fixed home, so you are not rummaging through the main volume when it counts. The body is sewn in 100% polyamide with a polyester insert and a polyamide lining, and the pack weighs 1145 grams empty. The profile stays slim enough that you can keep it on while sitting on a chairlift rather than pulling it off every time.
